Today during worship, I was reminded about how there is no need to try to be perfect with the Father. Because He accepted us just as we are, faults and all, even before we accepted Him.
"Your grace has found me just as I am,
Empty handed but alive in Your hands"
- Majesty, Hillsong United
Thank You for Your amazing grace, and that I don't need to pretend to be perfect when I'm with You. Thank You that You've always created an avenue for us to be perfectly honest with You, to be our complete broken selves in front of You.
Thank You that we live not trying to be perfect by our own efforts, but by Your spirit that makes us alive - constantly convicting us of our sin from within, and changing our hearts to live in line with Your will.
Thank You for Your unending and unconditional love. And that we only need to lay our burdens down at Your feet.
Such a loving Father. Help me to grow in my understanding of how deep and wide your love is for us.

What about the poor and starving kids in Africa? Why is he not doing anything about them?
Perhaps if your god wasn't there to forgive your sins so much, you just might actually take more responsibility for your actions.
Your blog makes your god look so good, but it paints a poor picture of your ability to learn from your mistakes.
And it makes your god look bad.
why are u asking bout the kids in africa? is she god? i do not have an answer to that, and i
one of the basic principals in christianity is accepting that we are sinners, that there is nothing that we can do to redeem ourselves. can you?
therefore we need god in his awesomeness for forgiveness or sins.
it doesnt make god look bad, note that he gave us freedom of choice, therefore we can be 'as bad as we want'. but there is nothing that we can do to be good (accepting that we are sinners).
danielchowtzeyoong,
I kindly ask you to refer to where in my post I refer or imply to anyone that exclaims her as 'god'. If you read my post again, I state a pretty clear question, as to why 'god' is not doing anything about the children in Africa.
"that there is nothing that we can do to redeem ourselves. can you?"
In fact, yes I can. And yes I have. But i do not wish to redeem myself, nor do I want to be redeemed by anyone other then my own actions.
I have traveled to Africa and spent months helping out starving kids by rebuilding their homes as well as setting up proper water supplies. And trust me when I say, it does a lot more then 'praying' that 'someone' will take care of those kids.
What I am actually saying to you is that a freedom of choice means that you are unbound by any restrictions imposed onto you. I believe that if you have the freedom of not adhering to Jesus you would, apologize for my crudely put argument, end up in hell. So please reconsider that when you speak of religion how much 'choice' you really have, especially when people speak about 'serving' someone.
